Open Society Afghanistan

Recent activities supported by the Open Society Foundations office in Afghanistan include advocating for services and rights for war victims, supporting the translation and publication of international human rights law training materials, sponsoring clinical legal education, and establishing an independent bar association.

The office has also helped organize conferences that bring Afghan human rights leaders together with colleagues from countries such as Cambodia to exchange and learn about best practices in documenting war crimes and human rights abuses.
