Building Civil Society Potential in Drug Policy
The purpose of the grant is to create a basis for strategic and focused work on drug policy at the Eurasian Harm Reduction Network (EHRN) and promote evidence-based and human rights driven drug polices in the region of Central, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Description of project:
Objective 1: EHRN position on drug policy elaborated, evidence based polices promoted on national, regional and international levels;
Objective 2: Links between EHRN advocacy, capacity building and information work established making drug policy more of a cross-cutting issue;
Objective 3: A work plan including a fundraising activities on drug policy reflecting priorities from the position paper, the new EHRN Strategic Plan and the links elaborate in objective 2 above will be developed;
Objective 4: Continued support of civil society participation in international drug policy related events, accompanied by enhanced media coverage of Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) and other drug related events and issues with focus on access to medically assisted treatment and women related issues.
