To Promote Harm Reduction Among Drug Users and Launch a Public Debate on the Reform of the 1970 Law

This grant is to support the French Organization for Drug Related Harm Reduction (AFR) to set up an awareness campaign to reform the 1970 law on drug use in France. Specific objectives of the project will be to open a public debate on drug policies and law reform, to go beyond the prohibition paradigm which prevails in the majority of public opinion and political circles because of the extremely strict 1970 law and to change the image that institutions and the general public have of drug users. The recipient will work with the public relation agency Well Com in order to achieve the desired outcome.
