Supporting Drug Policy Review in Argentina
The purpose of this project is to contribute to the consolidation of alternative drug policy in Argentina: to support the drug policy debate through the distribution of accurate and thorough information based on facts and research, to work towards the realization of changes in legislation and public policy concerning drugs, to increase the impact of advocacy groups that defend the rights of drug users, and stimulate the development of those groups. The strategy includes public education to consolidate an alternative discourse to that of the criminalization of drugs and drug users; setting up an advocacy group focused on legislative reform; and improved cooperation with local, national and international organizations and activists.
