Polish Drug Policy Network Development

This project is designed to strengthen the Polish Drug Policy Network established earlier this year, enabling the network to move closer towards its ultimate aim of reforming current drug legislation and improving law enforcement practices in Poland. The network brings together professionals, institutions, drug users, parents of drug users, lawyers, to articulate concerns about current drug policy.

Four main goals lie at the heart of this proposal: first, to integrate network members by working together on specific issues; second, to increase members' ability to cooperate effectively in implementing activities; third, to build a positive reputation - this will involve working with experts to design a public relations strategy and learn the skills of effective advocacy, involving key actors on a national basis and presenting uniform opinions; and fourth, to have an impact on the Minister of Justice's advisory group which is currently working on amendments to the drug law.
