Project to Evaluate Drug Articles

In 2006, Slovak drug legislation was amended to more clearly distinguish between personal drug use on the one hand, and drug production and trafficking on the other. This project aims to provide feedback on how these new laws are implemented through collecting and analyzing data (e.g. through semi-structured interviews, focus groups, data from law enforcement agencies etc) as well as performing qualitative research, involving case studies from the point of view of individual professions.

Recommendations for further amendments to drug policy will be developed on the basis of scientific evidence and will be widely disseminated and advocated. The outcomes will be a preliminary and final report, a set of drug policy recommendations, use of project results in planned legislative changes to health laws, and a plan for future advocacy activities.
