Training Center and Advocacy Activities
The project consists of a Training Center and Advocacy program. As part of the training center, SKA implements training/internship programs with priority to harm reduction issues in Poland and other countries, including countries of the former Soviet Union. Advocacy activities, continued from 2007, are implemented locally, nationally and internationally. The program is also a tool for strengthening the presence of Central European NGOs on an international level.
Live, Love Safer, Be!
The project aims to reach the participants of the Warsaw Equality Parade (June 2008) with a health promotion message advocating rational attitudes towards psychoactive substances and drug use and to raise awareness on drug use and drug policy issues in Poland. The activities will consist of presenting a health truck-platform during the 2008 Warsaw Equality Parade from which education materials will be distributed. An info point during the parade's after-party in a club will be organized and members of NGOs working on drug users issues will be available during the whole Parade to provide counseling and information.
