Scientific Symposiom on Papaver Somniferum
The purpose of the grant is to support the Department of Applied Plant Sciences and Plant-biotechnology, University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria to convene the first international symposium on the horticulture of Papaver Somniferum in late 2009. This three day event brought together poppy researchers from around the world to discuss the horticulture, economics and farming systems for culinary, industrial, medicinal and illicit poppy.
