    A grant to support ARC International's strategy, training, and planning consultation "International Dialogue on Gender, Sexuality, HIV/AIDS and Human Rights: Focus on Asia," which took place in Seoul, Korea, November 25-28, 2005.

  • ASTRA Conference: "Women and HIV/AIDS in Central and Eastern Europe" 2005

    Supported by SHARP and OSI-Lithuania, the Central and Eastern European Women's Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASTRA) convened a variety of stakeholder groups from across Europe to discuss the intersection of reproductive health, sexual rights, and AIDS.

  • Global Fund Analysis on Sex Work and MSM Issues 2005

    SHARP is participating in a broader Public Health Program initiative aimed at developing a strategic framework for OSI engagement with the Global Fund.

  • Hungarian Civil Liberties Union Sex Work Advocacy Hub 2005

    SHARP supports the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union in its advocacy efforts around sex work policy issues for Central Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

  • International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission 2005

    SHARP provided support to the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission to train 15 or more activists in utilizing the African Human Rights System to push for positive policy and legislative change to reduce stigmatization, violence, and harassment.

  • Kazakh LGBT Activists New York Study Tour 2005

    SHARP facilitated a study tour for a group of eight nascent LGBT activists from Kazakhstan who were grantees of the Soros Foundation–Kazakhstan.

    Funded the participation of two Thai activists in "Acting on Rights: The Women and HIV/AIDS Leadership Retreat."
