Right to Information Regional Project
Centro de Archivos y Acceso a la Información Pública (CAinfo) will disseminate a report on the right to information (RTI) and the culture of secrecy. They will distribute the findings to civil society organizations at the regional level in order to raise awareness and generate debate on challenges facing access to information implementation. With the assistance of organizations from countries leading the RTI movement in Latin America, CAinfo will also establish an RTI observatory to promote good practices and comparative jurisprudence amongst comptroller agencies.
Domestic Violence and Migration
CAinfo will also work to protect the rights of some of the most vulnerable groups in Uruguayan society. CAinfo will use the right to information to obtain relevant information on domestic violence and migration in order to advocate for political reform and initiate civil society action in Uruguay.
