Right to Information in Cameroon
Citizens Governance Initiatives (CGI) will advocate for a general law on freedom of information in Cameroon, and create a civil society caucus of over 30 groups to monitor the implementation of right to information provisions in existing legislation. CGI will promote the practice of proactive disclosure and train the public on freedom of information issues. In addition, CGI will provide training on investigative journalism to media practitioners, and monitor existing expenditures and the use of public funds by parliamentarians.
