To provide general support to the Asian American Justice Center (AAJC), a leading national organization focused on advancing civil and human rights for Asian Americans and fostering a fair and equitable society for all. Founded in 1991, AAJC is a national expert on issues of particular importance to the Asian American community including adult English language learning, affirmative action, anti-Asian violence prevention and race relations, census, health care, immigration and immigrant rights, media diversity and voting rights. To date, AAJC has been successful in raising awareness about the challenges faced by Asian Americans and other racial and ethnic groups. Earlier this year, AAJC successfully advocated to change a regulation that will allow spouses and children of U.S. citizens to apply for waivers for the 3 and 10 year bars to reentry from within the United States.
