To provide general support to the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE). NCTE was founded in 2003 by transgender advocates and allies who saw the need for an effective voice in Washington, D.C. to work on federal policy issues of concern to the transgender community. NCTE focuses on public education and advocacy strategies, with an emphasis on: 1) collaboration with other LGBTQ organizations, and 2) providing transgender people with advocacy tools to engage in their own human rights struggle.
