The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force organizes and advocates for LGBTQ equality. The Task Force seeks to strengthen the advocacy skills of the LGBTQ community through: training national and regional activists; providing policy analysis, research and staff resources to state and local organizations working for LGBTQ equality; and leading national policy working groups that provide administrative agencies and policymakers with the necessary information to advance LGBTQ equality. For 38 years, the Task Force has played a significant role in nearly every landmark event in the U.S. LGBTQ movement. This grant is for general support.
