Host: Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights

Rose Cahn will work with advocates across the country to stop the unjust deportation of immigrants with unconstitutional convictions.

Cahn is one of the chief advocates and educators in the highly-specialized field of post-conviction relief for immigrants, and has been an active participant and leader in the movement for immigrants’ rights for more than 15 years. As an attorney at the Law Office of Norton Tooby, she has litigated hundreds of post-conviction relief cases in federal, state, and immigration courts. She is the co-author of the widely cited California Post-Conviction Relief for Immigrants, and writes nationally circulated criminal-immigration law practice advisories and articles.

Cahn received her JD cum laude from New York University School of Law, where she was a Root-Tilden-Kern scholar, and earned her BA with highest honors from Wesleyan University.
