  • A Better Way Foundation 2009

    A grant to provide general support.

  • Air Traffic Control 2009

    A grant to support Air Traffic Control, an Oakland-based organization which supports musicians and managers in lending their talents to social justice by connecting concerned artists to activists, advocacy organizations, and issue advocacy campaigns.

  • Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation 2009

    A grant to support delegates at the 2009 Global Forum on Migration and Development.

  • Alliance for Justice 2009

    A grant to provide Alliance for Justice with general support.

  • Amalia Greenberg Delgado 2009

    Greenberg Delgado will develop a public education program to counter myths about immigrants and crime, advocate for improved law-enforcement practices in immigrant communities, and work to preserve the rights of people affected by these abuses in Northern California.

  • America's Voice Education Fund 2009

    A grant to support media and communications strategies related to comprehensive immigration reform.

  • American Civil Liberties Union Foundation 2009

    A grant of $500,000 over 2 years to support the Exposing and Opposing Government Surveillance Through Local Advocacy Project, a special initiative of the national ACLU and state affiliate campaigns in Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, and Washington to roll back government monitoring of political activists and religious minorities.

  • American Environics (Proteus Fund, fiscal sponsor) 2009

    A grant of $200,000 over 6 months as a matching grant to support American Environics Real Security to Overcome Fear Project.

  • American Independent News Network 2009

    A grant to support American Independent News Network (formerly the Center for Independent Media) in providing high-quality investigative reporting on federal agencies and Congressional delegations.
