Case Digests: Abuse of Detainees Cases before the ECHR

This paper presents summaries of 17 cases brought before the European Court of Human Rights relating to the right to life (Article 2) and the prohibition of torture and degrading treatment (Article 3), delivered between January 2013 and October 2014. All facts of the cases have been taken from official press releases or case summaries issued by the European Court of Human Rights.
