Case Digests: Legal Update on Discrimination

The Open Society Justice Initiative has prepared short summaries of key decisions relating to discrimination, including ethnic profiling, from international and regional courts and tribunals from March 2012 to May 2013. This digest also includes brief updates on key national cases in Spain and the US challenging bans on headscarves and discriminatory stops and searches by police. 

These summaries, which are part of our Case Digests series and our work on discrimination, are produced by staff at the Justice Initiative in order to make decisions of the global justice mechanisms accessible to the widest possible audience.
