Svitlana Zalishchuk is a well-known activist who was on the front lines of the Maidan and is now a member of the Rada, Ukraine’s parliament. An exemplar of what George Soros calls the “New Ukraine,” Zalishchuk discusses challenges reformers are facing in the current political environment and in the context of the war in eastern Ukraine.

  • Svitlana Zalishchuk is a Ukrainian civic activist, journalist, and politician. In 2014, she was elected as a member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc to the Ukrainian parliament, where she serves on the Foreign Affairs Committee.
