Abdul Tejan-Cole is the executive director of the Open Society Initiative for West Africa.
Prior to joining the Open Society Foundations, he served as commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission in Sierra Leone from December 2007 through April 2010. His previous positions include: attorney in the Special Court for Sierra Leone; deputy director for the International Center for Transitional Justice’s Cape Town Office; and president of the Sierra Leone Bar Association. He also has extensive experience working with the Foundations.
Tejan-Cole has served as board chair of the Open Society Initiative for West Africa and as a member of the board of the Open Society Justice Initiative.
