Christine Seisun joined the Open Society Foundations in January 2012. Directly prior to this she was a short-term elections observer in the Democratic Republic of Congo with The Carter Center. She holds a Master's degree in international law - specializing in international humanitarian law and the US War on Terror - from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London and an honors BA degree in political science from Concordia University in Montreal.
Previously, she worked for the American Red Cross in Disaster Services and was an international law researcher for Amnesty International through the SOAS's Human Rights Law Clinic. She also served as a researcher with Lawyers for Justice in Libya.
