Claudia Hernandez is the president’s liaison to the advisory boards. She joined the Open Society Foundations in 1995 as assistant to the president after completing her studies at the Sorbonne.
Hernandez has served as election observer in several delegations throughout Central America. She is fluent in Spanish, Italian, and French, and has a working knowledge of Portuguese. In May 2012 she received her master of science degree from the School of International Affairs at the New School in New York. Hernandez, a naturalized American, was born in Nicaragua.
