David Scamell is a joint program officer for the Open Society Public Health Program’s Law and Health Initiative and the Sexual Health and Rights Project. His work focuses on supporting civil society to use laws and legal tools in order to increase access to health care and advance the health-related rights of those who are marginalized because of their sexual practices, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Prior to joining the Open Society Foundations, Scamell worked on sexual health and human rights policy and advocacy in Australia.
