Edward Pittman is based in London, where he works as a program coordinator at the Open Society Program on Independent Journalism. He works specifically on issues relating to freedom of expression and media law reform with projects operating throughout the program’s global mandate. He also works on coordinating various other aspects of the program’s operations acting as a liaison between many of the program’s network or media coordinators throughout the Open Society Foundations.
A graduate of the University of York in philosophy and politics where he focused on international relations, he has worked variously as an International Market Analyst and as a reporter on PPP/PFI projects for an online business publication. He has travelled extensively in Latin America, Asia, and Europe; speaks English and Spanish; and has a working knowledge of French.
