Jacqueline Hale is responsible for managing work relating to Central Asia and South Caucasus, energy, and human rights issues. She joined the Open Society Foundations office in November 2006.
She is a graduate of Cambridge University, where she studied languages, and holds an MA with distinction in international relations from the University of Sussex. Prior to joining the Open Society Foundations, Hale worked at the European Parliament and researched for UNHCR. She has published articles on South Caucasus and Central Asian affairs as well as other development issues. She is fluent in French and Spanish.
