Jed Weeks is the major gifts associate at OSI-Baltimore, focused on individual and family fund investments. Specifically, he is responsible for individual donor fundraising and stewardship, prospect research, event planning, and reporting to donors how their funds are being used. His portfolio also includes all corporations and foundations investing in OSI-Baltimore’s Community Fellows Program.
Prior to joining the Open Society Foundations, Weeks worked as a political fundraiser, most recently as Deputy Finance Director to Delaware Governor Jack Markell. There, he was responsible for high-dollar fundraising events, out-of-state fundraising trips, candidate call time, and online fundraising. In addition, he helped edit Markell’s “Blueprint for a Better Delaware” policy book, planned a two-day, cross-state “Tour de Delaware” policy-focused bike tour led by Governor Markell and a state senator, and staffed the governor at all major events.
In his spare time, Weeks advocates for better and more equitable transit in Baltimore through his work on the Mayor’s Bicycle Advisory Committee and as a board member of Baltimore’s bike advocacy organization, Bikemore.
Weeks earned his Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Political Science from the University of Delaware.
