Muzna Ansari is a program associate with the U.S. Programs Democracy Fund. Ansari supports grantmaking to remove barriers to voting and expand voting rights, reduce the power of money to distort democratic debate and participation, and to build civil society capacity for both government oversight and community engagement in policymaking in New Orleans.
Prior to joining the Foundations, Ansari worked at the Agenda Project, a New York based public policy think tank. She previously served as a Civic Leaders of Tomorrow Fellow with the Manhattan Borough President's Office and the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy. She graduated from Barnard College with a major in Economics and a concentration in Human Rights. Ansari is currently pursuing a Master's in Public Administration from NYU's Wagner School of Public Service.
