Reema Hijazi

Reema Hijazi is an executive assistant with the Open Society Justice Initiative, where she works with the executive director and assists with internal communications. Prior to joining the Justice Initiative, Hijazi worked as a researcher at New York University and served as a book review editor for The Arab Studies Journal. Hijazi has extensive research and administrative experience with organizations focused on human rights and Middle East issues, including Palestine Monitor, Human Rights Watch, and the Institute for Palestine Studies.

Hijazi earned a master’s degree in Near Eastern Studies from New York University, where she studied as a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellow. She received her bachelor’s degree in political and social thought from the University of Virginia.
