Sue Cohen

Suzanne F. Cohen is president of the Nathan and Suzanne Cohen Foundation and an active community leader and volunteer. She is former chair and an honorary trustee of the Baltimore Museum of Art; past chair and life member of the board of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore; and past president of the Baltimore Jewish Council. She is an honorary trustee of the Baltimore Community Foundation, and trustee emerita of Goucher College. In addition to serving on the Open Society Institute–Baltimore advisory board, Cohen is a board member of the Intersection, the Middle Grades Partnership, and the Weinberg Library Project.

One of her most significant initiatives was championing and funding the concept of free admission at the Baltimore Museum of Art. She has been recognized with numerous honors including three time recognition by the Center of Excellence as one of Maryland’s Top 100 Women, induction in 2013 to the Jewish Community Center Jewish Hall of Fame; and designation in 1999 as Philanthropist of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Cohen earned a BA with special honors from Goucher College in Maryland.
