Until April 2013, Timothy Dorsey was the program officer for the Strategic Opportunities Fund of U.S. Programs.
Before joining the Foundations in 2009, Dorsey served as director of the Youth Media Learning Network, a national initiative to support professional development for artists and educators who teach social issue media production to young people. He earned a BA from Georgetown University and an MA from Middlebury College and has held fellowships from the Lannan Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Center for Social Innovation at Stanford University.
