Since its founding in 1973, the Ms. Foundation has been a leading U.S. women’s fund supporting the efforts of women and girls to govern their own lives and influence the world around them. Ms. Foundation delivers strategic grants, capacity building and leadership development services to organizations at local, state, Tribal and national levels working for policy and cultural change across the areas of women’s health, economic justice, ending violence and strengthening democracy. This grant supports the convening donors, researchers and activists to develop research and advocacy strategies on behalf of women of color and low-income women within two specific sectors: economic security and immigrant rights. The grant will also establish a funding pool to support promising strategies. By collaborating on specific actions to advance gender justice, the project aims to foster a network of advocates working to address the needs of women in these fields.
