What do you do at the Open Society Foundations?

I am the executive administrator to the New York office. I’m also the chair of the Argonaut Events Committee, an endeavor working to promote staff integration and Open Society team spirit, and I assist the global and advisory boards when they visit the New York offices.

How long have you worked here?

I have been here for 16 years.

What’s the best thing about working here?

My role—I love my job. I truly enjoy brainstorming staff events, bringing them to life, and seeing my colleagues have some fun and interact with each other.

What would people be surprised to learn about the Open Society Foundations?

How much the staff like each other. My sister was my guest at last year’s holiday party, and she said she was surprised that instead of each of us just being with our guests, we all gravitated towards each other and really wanted to celebrate one another. I see this every day in our office, but I was very proud when she made that observation.

How do you get to work?

The good ol’ A train.
