Aquacultural Association of Kenya
2019$155,000Descriptionto provide relief and advancement of smallholder aquaculture farmers in Kenya who are typically poor / low income because they are producing at subsistence level. This would be accomplished by improving the infrastructure of AAK, the only smallholder producer-owned aquaculture organization in Kenya exclusively representing, supporting and advocating on behalf of smallholder producers. Supporting AAK will lead to improved gains for smallholder farmers, increased local production of fish and reduced importation of same with a view to supporting businesses owned by poor / low income individuals and/or creating job opportunities for poor / low income individuals.
