Alissa Sadler joined the Open Society Foundations in November 2012. Based in New York, Sadler is the communications officer for the International Harm Reduction Development Program. She works to promote the work of the program and grantees to a variety of audiences through web initiatives, publications, and media outreach.
Prior to joining the Open Society Foundations, Sadler worked at Signals Design Group—a Vancouver-based design and communication agency. There she worked on a range of campaigns and specialized in digital storytelling, social media strategy, and strategic communications. She has also worked in communications for the British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS—Canada’s leading HIV/AIDS and harm reduction research organization.
