Andrea Csanadi is the director of the Arts and Culture Program of the Open Society Foundations, where she has worked over the past eight years. Csanadi holds a BA in general economics and management, and an MSc in political science from the Budapest University of Economics and Social Sciences. She holds an MA in international relations and European studies from the Central European University, where she also began doctoral work in political science.
In 2004, she completed the European Diploma in Cultural Project Management Training Course of the Marcel Hicter Foundation in Brussels. Csanadi received a diploma as a teacher of modern dance from the Hungarian Dance Alliance in 1992. She worked as a contemporary dancer and was a member and soloist of a number of Hungarian contemporary dance/movement theatres between 1992 and 1998.
