Bipasha Ray is acting co-director of the Open Society Fellowship Program. She has been with the fellowship program since it was launched in 2008 and has worked in a number of capacities with the program.
Before coming to Open Society, Ray was a research associate at the Project on Defense Alternatives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she worked on issues related to Iraq, Afghanistan, peace and security, and U.S. military and defense policy. She has also worked with post-conflict reconciliation and governance issues while pursuing her MA at Queens University Belfast in Northern Ireland. Originally from Mumbai, India, Ray was formerly a reporter at the Associated Press in Boston and Philadelphia, and a business reporter at the Star Tribune in Minneapolis.
