Caroline Kariuki is the finance and administration director for the Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa. She has over 16 years of wide ranging experience in finance and administration, grants management, financial systems review, information systems management, and emergency response systems. She has managed large and diverse teams having worked with a number of national and international nongovernmental organizations.
Kariuki has worked with Mission for Essential Drugs & Supplies as a senior accountant; Help Age International as the regional finance & administration manager; and most recently Oxfam GB’s finance manager in Kenya. She is a certified public accountant and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the East and Southern African Management Institute.
