Daniela Aydin is a program coordinator for the Roma Initiatives Office.
Previously, Aydin worked for four years as a program coordinator for the Arts and Culture Program of the Open Society Foundations based in Budapest. She was responsible for coordinating and administering the program’s grants portfolio and operational initiatives in Central Asia, the Caucasus, Afghanistan, Moldova, Mongolia, and Turkey. Before joining the Foundations, Aydin worked as a research fellow at the Center for Policy Studies at Central European University in Budapest, where she conducted research on rural out-migration, rural development, and transition in several post-socialist countries in Central and Eastern Europe.
Aydin received a bachelor's degree in public administration from Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She has a master's degree in public policy, focused on international public policy and fiscal decentralization streams from Central European University. She is fluent in Romanian, English, and Russian, and has intermediate knowledge of Hungarian and Turkish.
