Julia Lukomnik is a program officer with the Open Society Public Health Program, where she supports sex worker groups to access health services and legal representation, and to advocate for their human rights.
Prior to joining the Open Society Foundations in 2014, Lukomnik consulted for various nongovernmental organizations in Uruguay. She worked with the United Nations Development Programme and the Uruguayan government on the health needs, and economic and social inclusion of trans and sex worker communities. Lukomnik codesigned DoseRight, an oral dosing clip that improves accuracy in pediatric antiretroviral medication delivery.
Lukomnik holds a postgraduate degree in health policy and administration from the Centro Latino Americano de Economía Humana, and a BA in sociology and global health technology from Rice University.
