Lisa Skeen

Lisa Skeen is a program coordinator with the Open Society Public Health Program, where she supports grant making to sex worker, trans, and intersex-led organizations.

Prior to joining Open Society in 2013, Skeen consulted for various organizations, including the Center for Artistic Activism in New York, working with social justice activists from around the world to develop effective creative advocacy campaigns. Previously, she spent several years in Seattle providing social services for homeless women and low-income tenants.

Skeen holds an MA in Latin American and Caribbean studies from New York University, where she received a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship to study indigenous feminisms and Quechua.
