Louise Ehlers

Louise Ehlers is a program manager with the Open Society Human Rights Initiative and is responsible for criminal justice issues in Africa.

Previously, Ehlers worked with the Criminal Justice Initiative at the Open Society Foundation for South Africa, first as a senior program officer and later as a program director, before moving to the Law Program at the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa.

Ehlers holds an MPhil in public law from the University of Cape Town, a post-graduate diploma in social science, a bachelor of social science, and a bachelor of commerce. She is the author of several articles and essays on criminal justice reform and crime prevention.
