Louise Olivier is a program manager with the Open Society Human Rights Initiative, and is responsible for accountability for grave crimes, global rights, and food security and climate change.
Previously, Olivier served as a program manager at the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa, where her work focused on international criminal justice. She has also worked with the Electoral Commission of South Africa, as the country transitioned to democracy, as well as with a number of regional bodies in Africa on issues related to governance, democracy, elections, and human rights. For the African Union Commission, she helped establish the Democracy and Elections Support Trust Fund.
Olivier holds an LLB from the University of Natal, Durban.
