Natalie Jaynes is the director of learning and grant making for the Open Society Public Health Program.
Prior to joining the Public Health Program in January 2016, Jaynes was based at the Open Society Foundation for South Africa, where she headed the Justice and Equality Program. Jaynes first joined Open Society in 2011 as director of the South Africa foundation’s Criminal Justice Initiative. She also worked as a researcher for the Geneva-based Small Arms Survey, at Gun Free South Africa, and at the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation.
Jaynes holds a BTh in theology from the University of Pretoria, and an MPhil in justice and transformation from the University of Cape Town.
