Ruzana Hedges

Ruzana Hedges is a program associate for OSI-Baltimore’s Tackling Drug Addiction Initiative and the national Campaign for a New Drug Policy. In this capacity, Ruzana assists the Program Directors with all the aspects of program, grants management, and administration, including contributing to and participating in strategic planning; organizing convening and forums; and researching health care, addiction, and other related topics.

Prior to joining Open Society Foundations, Ruzana worked for International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she coordinated Edmund S. Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program, and before that she worked for United Nations Development Program as a Gender Specialist/Community Facilitator at the Women’s Regional Center in Samtskhe-Javakheti Region of Georgia. Ruzana received her BA in English, Georgian Language and Literature from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, and her MS in Development Management from American University’s International Development Program in Washington, D.C.
