Siobhan Riordan is the project head for the Open Society Documentary Photography Project, which explores the intersection of photography and social change through grantmaking, exhibitions, public programs, and workshops. Based in New York, she works to develop and implement program initiatives including the Moving Walls documentary photography exhibition series.
Dedicated to supporting documentary work, Riordan previously oversaw communications and cultural development at VII Photo Agency, bringing narrative documentary content to global audiences by expanding social media strategy, coordinating agency communications, and organizing exhibitions and events.
As a photographer and communications coordinator on previous projects in Colombia and Uganda, she helped nonprofit organizations develop their online presence by producing original content. Riordan spent a year in Indonesia teaching English as a second language after earning a BA from Rutgers University.
