Veronica Cool is chair of the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the association representing over 40,000 Hispanic businesses in the region. She is also vice president for business banking at Wells Fargo, specializing in relationship managing, lending, and credit underwriting. Cool has over 19 years experience in commercial lending, financial analysis, and sales management. She has received various awards including induction into the Maryland Daily Record’s Circle of Excellence for winning the paper’s Top 100 Women prize three times, Smart CEO’s Top Business Bankers prize, and the U.S. Hispanic Chamber Ultimate Latina Award in the Corporate Sector. U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama recognized Cool’s commitment to mentoring youth at the 2011 National Mentoring Summit. Cool served on Maryland Governor O’Malley’s gubernatorial transition steering team and was the 2007 chairwoman for the 6th annual Maryland Hispanic Business Conference, the largest Hispanic business event in the state.
Cool is a graduate of Kutztown University with a BS in business administration. She also holds an MSc in finance from Loyola College in Maryland.
