NEW YORK—As a new academic year gets underway, the Open Society Justice Initiative is highlighting a range of online resources for international human rights lawyers and students now available on our website.

The Justice Initiative is one of the world’s leading international human rights litigation groups, having been involved in over 70 human rights cases before international and national courts around the world.

We also promote the development of human rights law practitioners through internships, fellowships and our annual week-long summer school on strategic litigation at the Central European University in Budapest. On our website you can also find:

Case Watch: This continuing series now includes over 85 summaries of significant human rights rulings from tribunals around the world, written by legal staffers at the Open Society Justice Initiative. We regularly add new commentaries.

Case Digests: We have produced over 30 comprehensive briefing papers summarizing and providing links to rulings and decisions emanating from sessions of regional and international human rights tribunals. These include the United Nations human rights treaty bodies, as well as most recently the ECOWAS Community Court and the East African Court.

Law Talks: A series of six downloadable online talk on strategic human rights litigation, covering arrest rights, statelessness, freedom of information, torture and discrimination, as well an overview from our executive director, James A. Goldston.

Legal Toolkit on European Arrest Rights: A template brief (available in 8 European languages) and related case summaries, to support litigation that seeks to bring domestic justice systems and practice in line with international legal standards.

You can keep informed about new human rights law products and publications on our site by following us on Twitter at @osfjustice.
