    In rural areas of India, Fazal Sheik distributed posters containing images and testimonials that examine the victimization of women.

  • Jim Goldberg 2006

    Jim Goldberg, in partnership with Amnesty International, produced a multimedia exhibit of photographs and oral histories about the immigrant experience in Greece.

  • Joanne Petrina 2006

    Joanne Petrina, in partnership with Sound Transit, produced an exhibit about the immigrant community in Seattle s Rainier Valley that will be exhibited around the city—at the train station, Seattle City Hall, and Harborview Medical Center—and in the Rainier Valley at public libraries and the Columbia City Gallery. Community forums will be organized at these venues.

    Karen Furth produced Still Life: Documenting Cancer Survivorship, an educational DVD that documents and enables others to replicate the photography course that Furth organized for cancer survivors.

    Kayana Szymczak and Lou Dematteis, in partnership with Amazon Watch, exhibited Crude Reflections: ChevronTexaco s Rainforest Legacy, which documents and investigates, through photographs and testimonials, the impact of ChevronTexaco s oil development on the communities living in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

    Rojelio Rodriguez displayed at community venues photo banners of abandoned parks in Northern Manhattan and organize teach-ins, in partnership with Mindy Fullilove at The Research Group/CLIMB, to mobilize local communities to reclaim and reinvest in their neighborhoods.

    Ryan Reed partnered with STAND (Students Taking Action Now for Darfur) to exhibit Sudan: The Cost of Silence at 10 universities in the United States and organize concurrent interdisciplinary symposia, lectures, and community-wide events.

    Daniel Morel, in partnership with Circles of Change, will host exhibitions in Haiti and New York, which will serve as the focal point for discussion aimed at enabling Haitian Americans and Haitians in Haiti to address their past and collaborate toward a positive future.

    Working in collaboration with the Hope for Children Organization, Eric Gottesman will exhibit photographs made in collaboration with people affected by AIDS in Ethiopia.
