Creating Resources for Empowerment in Action
2008
A grant to support A Global Dialogue between the Violence against Women and Sex Workers' Movements, a program organized in partnership with the Centre for Advocacy on Stigma and Marginalization (CASAM) and in consultation with an advisory committee. This dialogue with activists from the women's movement and the sex workers' movement discusses the violence faced by women in sex work in order to identify rights-based strategies for addressing it. The dialogue attempts to bridge the gap between the two movements in the hope of fostering alliance building and future collaboration. This grant was funded in partnership with OSI's International Women's Program.
