Film Screening: A Small Act

The Open Society Foundations and the Hilde Back Education Fund host a screening of the film A Small Act.  The screening celebrates the film’s nomination for an Emmy Award for Best Documentary. 

This film depicts the inspiring story behind the creation of the Hilde Back Education Fund, a Kenyan charity, and its current work providing school fees and other assistance to bright and needy Kenyan students in secondary school. The screening will be followed by a discussion on education and human rights with Chris Mburu, whose story is portrayed in the film, and Lizzie Chongoti, the executive director of the fund.
